Tips on Driving the Ball
I have always struggled with hitting the golf ball off the tee. Whether it doesn't go as far as I would like it to go or whether it doesn't go in the right direction. I am going to give you a couple tips on how you could increase your driving accuracy and your driving length
1. Make sure that your ball position is in the front of your stance, this is key to hitting up on the ball
2. A little trick that I was taught is lining your ball up on the tee like you do for putting, aim the side of the golf ball with the line, and aim that line towards your target
3. If you struggle with slicing the ball move your right hand just a tad under the club, if you struggle with hooking the ball move your right hand just a tad to the left. This should help get the head of your club turned to the right target position
4. Add a little shoulder tilt, drop your right should just a tad so that your left should be facing to the sky and your right shoulder is facing to the ground
5. Make sure that your club is square at the address, don't lay the driver down, lift it up towards the ball a little bit just to get it all square
6. To get more power have a feeling that you are making a stop at the top of your backswing and when you are swinging down to the ball push off of your back foot to add extra power
I hope these few tips helped and hopefully you can impress your friends with how far you hit the ball.
