BirdieBall Review, why its good and why its bad.
Today I tested out a golf innovation that has been out for a couple of years now and I've always wanted to try it. I tested out the birdieballs off of birdieball.com and I was pretty impressed. Birdieballs in the PGA's words is the best golf practice ball on the market. I would have to agree with that statement about how much I enjoy these. I ordered the 12 pack of birdieballs that cost around 50 dollars which is what you would pay for a top branded pack of golf balls. I also ordered the tee that comes with the birdieballs if you want to hit driver. I went out to my backyard and hit them a bunch and I had a blast hitting these practice golf balls. I did find one thing and that they are not the best to hit in the wind due to them being a hard plastic cylinder type practice ball. Birdieballs in my opinion is better to hit with irons than they are with driver or wedges. Just because irons compress the ball a little less than a driver and a little more than wedges so irons are the perfect middle ground. I still enjoy hitting them with my driver and wedges I just don't get the same feel and satisfaction that I do with my Irons. These last forever though, regular golf balls do not if you are a college golf player like me. Birdieballs claim to fly around 40-45 yards with any club and they did just that. They also claim to feel and sound like a ProV1, which is where I would have to disagree. Don't get me wrong these are perfect for outdoor use and indoor use. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that they claim it feels like a ProV1. They flew like a normal golf ball would and I could shot shape them as well. These are a great practice ball and if you are ever thinking of buying these I would not recommend getting the 12 pack. Since they only fly around 40 yards you can easily walk and go get 3 balls that you just hit. Overall these are great a item and I would recommend getting them if you are thinking about it.
